Blackout: Playlist Claw Marks

To get ready for tonight, we asked Claw Marks to pick some songs and make a playlist. Have a listen!

John Spencer Blues Explosion - Bellbottoms
I wish you could buy one of those Mr T voice boxes - (where you press a button and it exclaims one of his famous catchphrases) But instead of Mr T, its Judah Bauer and when you press the buttons it exclaims "BLUES EXPLOSION" "MOST GROOVY" and "BELLBOTTOMS!"

I think 60% of our entertainment when we toured with The Wytches derived from this song.

Hank Wood and The Hammerheads - (What's So Bad About) A Bad Idea
Weirdos from New York playing that primal punk sound accompanied by that Mummies style organ and wild percussion. Along with Vexx and Institute this is one of my favourite US bands, theyre really great live and i feel this song title may reflect the spirit of Claw Marks well.

C.C.T.V. - Paranoia
Suck it, dweebs.

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - The Singer
Did you forget this fucking singer so soon?
That blues guitar line.

Ted Chippington - Pull Up
Ted is a hero, the true alternative comic. I’d like to think that there’s at least a hint of his musk that has seeped into our music.

The Male Nurse - My Own Patrick Swayze
Everyone deserve to hear some Fall worship. Ben Wallers does it best.

Frank Zappa - Catholic Girls
This was on a mixtape in our van when we went on tour with The Fat White Family in 2014.
I have fond memories of gyrating around whist strapped down in my seat.
Our first drummer Severin later explained this song is really about Blow Jobs.
Another note is cat cant stand listening to this song, and sprints out the room within the first emergence of Frank Zappa's voice.

The whole of "Daughters"
My favorite low life noise punk band growing up and the reason i play guitar so badly.

Bent and the Bolts - Mechanical Man
This, for the vocals

Wand - M.E
I thought we could cover this. Turns out Wand already have.
